We thought it would be better to get to here by bus from Sarajevo as it might be easier to get a hitch from here. Turns out it's some gypsy city and most of people were laughing at us. After 3 hours we've came to a conclusion it will be better to try to get back in the direction of Sarajevo and stop at the gas station on highway. It's possible to walk under the tunnel to an other city of the highway

Very good place, a lot of traffic. Got taken there in 20 minutes right to Sarajevo. We were 2 guys

A place with beautiful views and a station with a bathroom. We tried to hitchhike to Livno, and that was our mistake. I recommend hittingchhiking to Bugojno first, as most people deviate to Sarajevo.

Don't stop here. Someone dropped us here from the exit of Mostar as we were trying to go to Sarajevo. Very bad move ! We thought with more traffic and plenty of space to stop it would be good, but literally thousands of car (got so bored I counted lol) passed by and no one seemed to care at all. After 2.5 hours we ended up giving up. Then you can't walk to any better place, everyrthing is too far away. The guy in the gas station in front was friendly and called us a cab to reach the next train station 15 minutes away. Cost us 20€ but it seemed like the only way to get out of this awful spot where no one seemed to care at all and it felt like cars could go endlessly without one ever stopping. (French couple in their 20s with no sign - doesn't look like having one would change much, April 2026)

Stood with a sign to Sarajevo pretty much got a ride instantly

I wait 10 minutes, and a nice Guy pick me Up and bring to Niksic and Pay for me a Busticket to Sarajevo.

Go in this exact spot, where truck drivers stop. Don't bother with cars if you're going to Sarajevo or Belgrade. Get the sign and ask them nicely when they stop. The 4th truck I asked to brought me all the way.

Probably it's the best to go to the end of the city to avoid local traffic. Previous driver left me near that place and it was good. Actually my driver was going to Modrica and the best way is via Zivnica, but he changed route for Sarajevo for me.

Good spot, good visibility, helpful people on the gas station, only one disadvantage is little traffic. Anyway I get a car in 3min and actually they were going to Sarajevo, I wanted to get only to Mokra Gora at that moment.

Hitched a ride while walking to find a spot. Sign Sarajevo in hand.

We were stuck for one afternoon and had to sleep in Knezevo. On the next morning we found a ride to Turbe in the direction Travnik. Our end goal was Sarajevo.

A lot of people going to Slavonski Brod. You can just ask them to drop uyou at gradiska border crossing or ho to slavonski brod, which is the easiest way to get to sarajevo

Was staying with a sign Sarajevo, got a ride to Bijeljina.

The spot in general is good with nice view, but the traffic is low, but after some time, you will get a ride. We got nice guys all the way to Sarajevo!

An ok spot, people here are going from sarajevo and especially the A1 highway towards tuzla. There is shade but not a lot of room to pull over. However it is possible to stop a car here. Nonetheless we got a ride with a sweet grandpa after 10 minutes of waiting.

Not the greatest spot, but somehow worked for us after trying different high-rated spots for 5 hours. Got a ride to sarajevo.

Gave up after 2 hours of trying with and without a sign saying Sarajevo. moved to a different spot. Bus driver blocking the pull over space to have a 30min smoke break also didn't help.
